Mission and Vision

The mission of the River Birchall Foundation is to bring love and positive mentorship to adolescents and young adults in Santa Cruz County and beyond. Through skateboarding, the arts, music, and MMA, we aim to create scholarships that provide young people with experiences that nurture their passions, support their social-emotional wellness, and encourage personal development through mind, body, and spirit. We believe in the power of creativity, physical expression, and the joy of having positive outlets, enabling young individuals to thrive and reach their full potential.

Our vision at the River Birchall Foundation is to empower and inspire the next generation.  We envision a future where adolescents and young adults in Santa Cruz County and beyond have access to opportunities that ignite their passions, promote social-emotional well-being, and foster personal growth. By creating scholarships and offering programs centered around skateboarding, the arts, music, and MMA, we strive to provide young people with the tools and support necessary to navigate their journey through adolescence with resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of self. Through our youth leadership program, we aim to cultivate future leaders who will continue to contribute to the local community, positively impacting lives and creating lasting change.

We strive to be a beacon of support for individuals seeking alternative pathways to healing and personal growth. By providing scholarships for services such as acupuncture, hypnotherapy, talk therapy, and fitness related opportunities and programs, we aspire to remove financial obstacles that hinder access to crucial mental health support. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive and compassionate community that recognizes the importance of holistic well-being and offers opportunities for individuals to flourish. Through our efforts, we aim to empower and uplift those we serve, helping them unlock their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
